LSEG to acquire Octus for $3.535 billion, expanding private-credit data business
London Stock Exchange Group has agreed to buy credit intelligence provider Octus for $3.535 billion in cash, with completion expected in the first half of 2027 subject to regulatory approval. LSEG says the deal will combine Octus’s private, illiquid and distressed-credit data and workflow tools with its existing fixed-income offerings; it expects the acquisition to be neutral to adjusted earnings per share in the first full year after closing and accretive thereafter.
What changed The proposed acquisition would extend LSEG’s established liquid-credit offering into private and distressed-credit intelligence, rather than simply adding more public-market data.
