Super Micro lifts fiscal 2027 revenue outlook after quarterly sales surge
Super Micro reported fiscal first-quarter revenue of $19.9 billion and raised its fiscal 2027 revenue guidance to $72 billion–$82 billion, from $65 billion–$72 billion. The company reported a 12.7% gross margin and $434 million in cash used by operations; cash stood at $6.9 billion against $8.6 billion of bank debt and convertible notes.
What changed The company lifted both ends of its fiscal 2027 sales forecast, by $7 billion at the bottom and $10 billion at the top.
Why it matters For Super Micro's creditors and shareholders, rapid sales growth is also a financing challenge: inventory and receivables absorbed cash despite substantial profit, with customer prepayments funding most working capital.
What to watch next The unresolved financing question is whether customer prepayments can continue supporting the build-out or additional debt will be needed.
